Women's Shabbat Program

Machon L'Torah-Torah Center
offers women the opportunity to
experience a traditional Shabbat
complete with hospitality, food,
songs and discussion.
Each week a group of women
with a wide range of backgrounds
gathers for a class on the weekly
Torah portion (Parshas
HaShavuot) given by a woman in
the community. Newcomers are
welcome, and accommodations
provided.
In addition to the Shabbat class,
special programs are arranged
around the holidays. The seminar
occur quarterly around Rosh

Hashana, Chanukah, Pesach and
Shavuot.
A special program will be held
on Feb. 16 in the home of Raizi
Nusbaum, 15041 Burton, Oak
Park at 3:30 p.m.
The guest speaker will be the
author of 48 Ways of Widsom,
Rabbi Noach Weinberg. He will
speak on "Ahavas Yisroel: Love
Your Neighbor." Open discussion
and refreshments will follow.
There is no fee for this program or
other Shabbat programs. Machon
L'Torah welcomes new partici-

The Lubavitch Women's
Organization will feature a musi-
cal production called "Light Up
the World" at its March 10 concert
culminating The Week of the
Jewish Woman (March 13-10).
The concert will be held at
Southfield-Lathrup High School
at 7:30 p.m.
The concert will include an or-
chestra with performers from the
Detroit Federation of Musicians,
the Tzivos Hashem Children's
Choir and the Beth Jacob School
Girls Choir.

Hebrew and Yiddish selections,
as well as songs from around the
world in eight languages, also will
be heard.
Tickets are on sale at Hudson's,
all Ticket World outlets, Borens-
tein's, Spitzer's and Chantel's.
The Lubavitch Women's
Organization is still taking nomi-
nations for the Eishes Chayil
(Woman of Valor) Award. All
entries should be submitted by
