MORT LEWIS WRITES . .

"Hi from sunny, warm and beauti-

opportunity, belated as it is, to
wish you and all our friends in
Michigan a Very Happy and
Healthy New Year.
"This past Chanukah the 'Not
So Old, Not So Young Detroit
Club' had latkas In The Park' as
you know. Well, they had 89
adults and 20 kids. It was a huge
success. They even ran out of food.
Everyone had a great time. They
played games and all had fun. The
only reason all the feStivities
stopped was that it began to rain
at 3 p.m.
"It must be noted that we attri-
bute the success of the Detroit
Club to the Danny Raskin column
in the Detroit Jewish News.
Elaine Emery was called on her
50th birthday by an old school
chum because someone read it in
the Danny Raskin column. She
also received congrats on her
baby, but it was a grandchild, due
to the Danny Raskin column.
"On Feb. 10, 1985, The Detroit
Club is going to celebrate its first
birthday and everyone is invited.
All 'Snowbirds' welcome. If you
`Snowbirds' are going to be in this
area, please let me know (305-
972-4675). On March 30, the
N.T.Y. N.T.O. is going to have a
mystery trip. Everyone is invited.
"We must note the Buddy
Eliases and Henry Leshmans are
now new members of the Detroit
Club.
"I've just returned from Michi-
gan and I will have to catch up on
the news. I certainly will keep you
abreast of the Detroit Club's pro-
gress.
"We have the pleasure of hav-
ing as guests from Michigan
Sheldon Moggel and Rosett.
Moggel.

very strange kind of art gallery
. . . First, its not an art gallery .. .
Second, whoever heard of one
with an authentic Civil War
newspaper hanging on the wall,
or an 1800s baby chair or walls

It's not even an antique store

all the great stuff to look at and
almost forget why they are there.
. . . A lot of beautiful framed pic-
