From past experience, the
follow-up could send the total past

Each Super Sunday shift was
preceded by a briefing session
which every volunteer was re-
quired to attend. There, they were
updated on the needs to be met
this year and learned how Allied
Jewish Campaign funds help
enrich the quality of Jewish lives
through the Jewish Welfare Fed-
eration's 60 beneficiaries.
Super Sunday volunteers
ranged from the Young Adult Di-
vision first-timers to senior citi-
zens.
Super Sunday, which climaxed
a week of events called "Super
Week," launched the
community-wide phase of the
Campaign. It continues through
the next two months with inten-
sive campaigning and several
other gatherings. Detroit was one
of 146 communities nationally
which conducted a Super Sunday
drive.
