U.S. Told To Be
, Firm With Soviet

New York — American For A
Safe Israel has called upon the
United States to be "firm" with
the Soviet Union regarding cur-
rent arms negotiations. The letter
asserts that American
negotiators should demand com-
pliance with previous agreements
by Moscow before signing new
ones.
"Since World War II, the Soviet
Union has systematically vio-
lated treaties, broken agreements
and cynically disregarded con-
ventions on human rights," the
AFSI said. "This pattern is a mat-
ter of historical record."
The letter to President Reagan
outlined Soviet violations of the
1945 Yalta Conference; SALT I
and SALT II; Helskinki Act; in-
ternational conventions and un-
ilateral commitments; and anti-
Semitism. The AFSI has begun a
national advertising campaign on
the issue.

A tribute: the gift that brings joy
before it's ever received.

When you honor someone close to you with a JARC tribute - for a
Bar Mitzvah, birthday, anniversary, memorial, or special occasion—
you'll be bringing them joy.
But before they ever open their tribute, your gift will be bringing
joy to people you've never met. People at the Jewish Association for
Retarded Citizens.
You'll be helping them realize their dream of living a life of quality,
pride, and dignity. And helping keep hope alive for the hundreds of
others waiting for a home.
Send a JARC tribute today. Because only a very special gift brings
joy before it's ever received.

Order your tribute from
