overseers of the seminary.
She has chaired many functions
of Women's Division of Israel
Bonds and served as a member of

troit Women's Divisions of both
American Jewish Congress and
the Jewish Welfare Federation
and as a member of the Detroit
Committee for the Maintenance

Jerusalem (JTA) — Some 1,300
youths from Latin America are
presently in Israel, in the
framework of the Youth and
Hechalutz department Tapuz
Project, Avraham Katz, depart-
ment head, said.
Some 1,000 of the youths are
from Argentina, and the rest have
come from Brazil, Uruguay, Chile
and Panama. The winter projects
of the department also host some
300 youths from South Africa,
Australia, the UK, and the U.S.
Among the youths is the Dar-
kenu Dance group from Argen-
tina. The group numbers some 30
dancers, each a dancing teacher in
his own community.
The dancers hold an annual
dancing festival in Buenos Aires,
which hosts. dancing groups from
Argentina and the neighboring
countries. The festival is called
Dalia after a similar dancing fes-
tival which used to be held in the
past in Kibbutz Dalia in Israel.
