Al Jolson Movie
For Senior Adults

The senior adult department of
the Jewish Community Center
will feature an Al Jolson movie
during its regular movie program
at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the assembly
hall of the Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch. All seniors are invited
free of charge. For information,
call Judy Blustein, 967-4030.
The department will sponsor a
trip to see Horowitz and Mrs.
Washington at 2 p.m. Feb. 3.
There is a fee, and reservation
deadline is Thursday. For infor-
mation, call Helen Singer, 967-
4030.
Nuse-gerontologist Judy Hin-
man will continue her lecture
series with a talk on Medicare and
home health care at 1 p.m. Feb. 1
in the assembly hall of the Morris
Branch. There is no charge. All
seniors are invited.
The project is supported by a
grant from the Area Agency on
Aging, 1-B.

Active Adults Host
Luncheon, Lectures

The Jewish Center's Active
Adult Program continues its
luncheon-lecture series on Mon-
day at noon in room 239 at the
Maple-Drake building. There is a
nominal charge.
A medical team will lecture on
"Hypertension." A free blood
pressure check is included in the
presentation.
The Active Adult program of-
fers a variety of classes and activi-
ties for retired adults on Monday
and Thursday. The Thursday
luncheon program, Program Pot-
pourri, features discussions, films
and more.
Reservations are required for
the luncheons and can be made by
calling Julie Silver at the Center,
661-1000, ext. 235.
Carpools are forming in the
Oak Park and -Southfield areas.
Persons who need transportation
or can offer a ride should call Miss
Silver.

Holocaust Survivors
Depicted In Drawings

The Jewish Community Center
of Metropolitan Detroit will show
a series of drawings of Holocaust
survivors by Marianne M. Sachs
from Feb. 3 through 13.
Each of the portraits is accom-
panied by a statement written by
or about the subject.
The public can view the Sachs
work during the normal hours at
the main Jewish Center.
