The senior Mellen is a retired pharmacist. Mrs. Mellen is a bridge life master and currently teaches bridge classes. The senior Mellens were among the first members of Temple Is- rael in the 1940s. There is a nominal fee, and all levels of dancers are wel- come. The Center also is the scene of an invitational art show currently open and running through Jan. 27. Medical care topic for seniors The Jewish Center's Active Adult program continues its luncheon/lecture series on Mon- day at noon with a lecture by Elizabeth Murtage from Blue Cross-Blue Shield who will speak on "Medicaid and Medicare." On Thursday at noon, Program Potpourri continues with Nancy Rosen who will speak on "Yiddish and You." Both programs are held in room 239 at the Maple-Drake building.
