Volunteers are being sought by
the Jewish National Fund to help
out with its phone-a-thon to be
held Feb. 17-21, as part of the na-
tional observance of Green Sun-
day Week.
The observance includes a
nationwide phone-a-thon, the
goal of which is to add acres of new
forests to the more than 200 mil-
lion trees already planted in Is-.
rael by the JNF since its inception
in 1901.
Now, more than ever before, the
JNF is being called upon to re-
claim the land in the Galilee and
in the . Negev to provide the

Emanu-El will celebrate its
birthday with • a luncheon and
program on Monday at noon in the
temple social hall.
Rochelle Rosenthal, noted ac-
tress and vocalist, will present a
gift of words and music entitled,
"What Do You Really Do? — A
Jewish woman's life in New York
and Broadway.
Miss Rosenthal, daughter of
Ann and Mike Rosenthal, was a
confirmand of Temple Emanu-El.
She was seen most recently in the
Michigan Opera Theater's prod-
uction of Sweeney Todd in which
she had a featured - role. She has
acted and sung in numerous
productionssin New York City and
other areas.
