died Jan. 4. Survived by a son,
Daniel Lampear of Novato, Calif.;
and one grandchild.

ISRAEL BLUESTEIN, 88, of

Detroit, died Jan. 6. Survived by a
son, Leo of San Diego, Calif.; two
daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Syl-
via) Feldman of West Bloomfield
and Mrs. Bernard (Elaine) Sher-
man of Kings Park, N.Y.; and
nine grandchildren. Interment
New York.

PAULINE P. COSKEY, 54, died

Jan. 3. She leaves a son, Irwin; a
daughter, Mrs. Randal (Ad-
rienne) Gordon; her mother, Mrs.
David (Ann) Barack; and a sister,
Mrs. Leo (Jennie) Katz of East
Lansing.

JEANETTE ETTINGER, 86,

died Jan. 9. She leaves four sis-
ters, Mrs. Meyer (Rose)
Waterstone, Mrs. Samuel (Mary)
Gordon, Betty Kaplan and Mrs.
Ben (Nadine) Lipton.

LOUIS FRIEDRICH, former

Detroiter and Atlanta, Ga., resi-
dent of Hallandale, Fla., died Dec.
22. Survived by a son, Bernard of
Atlanta; a daughter, Mrs. Louis
(Lillian) Pitt of Atlanta; and eight
grandchildren. Services in At-
lanta.

B.W. Colman

Benjamin W. Colman, a patent
attorney, died Jan. 4 at age 76.
A native Detroiter, Mr. Colman
had offices in Southfield. He was
an attorney for more than 50
years. He attended the University
of Michigan and was a 1934
graduate of the Wayne State Uni-
versity Law School.
He specialized in patents,
trademarks and copyrights. He
was a member of the State Bar of
Michigan and was honored by the
organization last September for
"50 years in practice." He was a
member of the Michigan Patent
Law Association and the Ameri-
can Intellectual Property Law
Association. Mr. Colman also was
a member of Temple Beth El.
He leaves his wife, Rose; a son,
Dr. Michael D.; a daughter, Susan
E. of Bethesda, Md.; three
brothers, Abraham Cohen of
Jacksonville, Fla., Morton Cohen
of Lutz, Fla., and Sidney Cohen;
and four grandchildren.

Joseph Efram

Joseph Efram, a retired real es-
tate broker, died Jan. 8 at age 85.
Born in Romania, Mr. Efram
was a real estate broker for Mer-
cury Realty Co. for 35 years. He
was a member of the Detroit Real
Estate Board, a longtime member
of Cong. B'nai Moshe and a
member of B'nai B'rith.
He leaves a son, Rudolph of
Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; a daughter,
Mrs. Sheridan (Gloria) Holzman;
a sister, Mrs. Pauline Grunt; five
grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.

SAMUEL KATZ, 74, of South-
field, died Jan. 4. Survived by his
wife, Bessie; a son, Ronald; two
daughters, Mrs. Benjamin
(Loretta) Hechler and Ms. Bar-
bara Schacter of Downsview,
Ont.; and five grandchildren.

ESTER KOTIKOVSKAYA, 79,

of Oak Park, died Jan. 9. Survived
by two sons, Pavel and Isak of
Russia; a daughter, Mrs. Leonid
(Maria) Sigal; three
grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.

PINKAS KUPFER, 71, of Oak

Park, died Jan. 7 in Los Angeles,
Calif. Survived by two sons, Rabbi
Boruch of Los Angeles and
Robert; a daughter, Mrs. Irving
(Helen) Biel; a brother, Henry;
and 11 grandchildren. Interment
Detroit.

MOLLIE KURTIS, 80, former
Detroiter of Denver, Colo., died
Dec. 21. Survived by her husband,
Soma; two daughters, Linda
McDonald of Texas and Patricia
Baum of West Bloomfield; a
brother, Sam Letwinsky of Mt.
Clemens; a sister, Bessie Katz of
Troy; and nine grandchildren.

BESSIE RACHEL KUSHNER,

83, of Windsor, died Jan._ 8. Sur-
vived by three,sons, Sidney of Oak
Park, Sol of Southfield and Barry
of Toronto, Ont.; two daughters,
Mrs. Martin (Betty) Mitchell of
Oak Park and Mrs. Bernard
(Lilly) Kramer of Southfield; two
sisters, Mrs. David (Ida) Kahan of
Southfield and Mrs. Sonya Cohen
of Los Angeles, Calif.; nine grand-
children and six great-grand-
children.

JOANNE LOREE McKAIG, 46,

of Southfield, died Jan. 4. Sur-
vived by her husband, Gerald;
four sons, Michael, Mark, Warren
and Louie; four daughters, Anne
McKaig, Elizabeth, Karen and
Catherine Pensler; her mother,
Mrs. Lou (Winifred) Groleau; and
two brothers, David Aran and
Lowell Aran, both of Florida.

MAE J. ROBINS, 73, died Jan. 8.
She leaves two daughters, Wendy
and Sandra; a sister, Mrs. Sam
(Ruth) Blacher; and one grand-
son.

LOUIS SARAQUSE, 61, of Lodi,

Calif., died Dec. 31. Survived by

Tara; three brothers, Joseph of
Oak Park, and Isaac and Charles,
both of Carmichael, Calif.; and a
sister, Mrs. Sam (Pearl) Papo of
Southfield. Interment Lodi.

BURTON SCHWARTZ, 47, died
Jan. 6. He leaves his mother, Mrs.
Michael (Lila) Schumacher; a
brother, Howard; and a sister,
Tracie of California.

LINKY RUTH SCHWARTZ,

77, died Jan. 4. She leaves her
husband, Samuel; a son, Larry; a
daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Marilyn)
Rothenberg; and five grand-
children.

ALBERT SILVERMAN, 80,

died Jan. 9. He leaves his wife,
Margaret; a brother, Earl; and
three sisters, Mrs. Goldie
Rissman, Mrs. Jean Cruze and
Mrs. Frieda Goldberg.

SAM TUKEL, 85, of Southfield,

died Jan. 8. Survived by his wife,
Rose; two sons, Sherwin and
Floyd; a brother, Abe of Ft.
Lauderdale, Fla.; six grandchil-
dren and one great-grandchild.

PAUL BERMAN, 85, died Jan.
7 in E. Liverpool, Ohio. He is sur-
vived by his wife, Miriam; a son,
Barry; and a daughter-in-law,
Mrs. Gilbert M. (Shirley) Be-
rman of Huntington Woods. He
was the father of the late Dr. Gil-
bert M. Berman. He leaves four
granddaughters Beth,
Katherine, Jane and Betsey; and
two brothers, Ben and Sam, both
of Pittsburgh, Pa. Interment,
Washington, Pa.
