Dr. Keith West and Sonya
Gomez were married recently at
Knollwood Country Club. Rabbi
Harold Loss of Temple Israel of-
ficiated.
The bride is the daughter of Dr.
and Dra. Luis Gomez of Caracas,
Venezuela. Parents of the brideg-
room are Mr. and Mrs. Donald
West of Southfield.
Maid of honor was Pam West,
sister of the bridegroom. Victor
Gomez, the bride's brother, was
the best man.
Dr. West received a degree from
the University of Michigan Den-
tal School. Mrs. West received a
B.S. degree at Central University
in Caracas and is a child psychol-
ogist.
Following a honeymoor trip to
California, the couple is residing
in West Bloomfield.

Morris Music
Morris Music, whose commu-
nity involvement spans a half-
century, will celebrate his 80th
birthday on Tuesday.
Music, a fluent Hebraist and
Yiddishist, has been active in the
Jewish Welfare Federation, its
agencies and Allied Jewish Cam-
paign since the central communal
organization had its offices on
Holbrook Avenue in 1930.
A retired butcher, Music took
retirement in stride: he began
studying Hebrew more than ten
years ago, and spent a period of
time in Israel at the well known
Ulpan Akiva.
Honored numerous times for
his dedication as a volunteer,
Music takes pride in never turn-
ing down an assignment. He is
past chairman of the Campaign's
Meat Division, from which he
served as a delegate to the Jewish
Community Council and a
member of the division board. He
also served on the board of gover-
nors of the Jewish Welfare Feder-
ation.
A member of the board of Young
Israel of Oak-Woods, Music also
belongs to Cong. B'nai Zion.
A member of Pisgah Lodge of
B'nai B'rith for more than 40
years, he serves on the organiza-
tion's board. He is also on the
board of Shaare Zedek Hospital in
Jerusalem, where he donated a
physicians' room. He is charitable
toward many causes, including
Yeshivath Beth Yehudah and
Bar-Illan University.
