New York (JTA) — The Met-
ropolitan New York Coordinating
Council on Jewish Poverty has
made one of the first deposits in
the new credit union developed by
the city-wide Jewish Union for
Russian Immigrants (JURI).
The credit union was created to
make loans to Russian Jewish
immigrants who, for lack of credit
history in the United States, may
have problems getting credit from
conventional sources.
