to address
Campaign event

Amos Ganor
The Fleischman Residence in
West Bloomfield will be the locale
for a cocktail reception on behalf
of the 1985 Allied Jewish Cam-
paign at 5 p.m. Jan. 15.
Social Service Section con-
tributors of $1,000 and their
spouses have been invited to
attend the gathering featuring
Amos Ganor of the Israel Ministry
for Foreign Affairs.
An official in the ministry for
nearly 30 years, Ganor has
traveled extensively on behalf of
his country, serving as chancellor
at the Israel Consulate in
Montreal and later as counselor at
the Israel Embassy in Stockholm.
He was appointed Israel Ambas-
sador to Liberia in 1973 and
served as deputy consul general
for Israel in New York the follow-
ing year.
The Campaign's Social Service
Section includes staff members of
the Jewish Welfare Federation's
local agencies and others in the
community involved in social
services.

Nativity scene

A controversial Nativity scene
may remain on the front lawn of
the Dearborn City Hall, a federal
district judge in Detroit ruled last
week. The decision followed
changes in both the ownership
