Survived by a son, Dr. Morris; two daughters, Mrs. Rudolph (Betty) Straus and Mrs. Raymond (Lynn) Wert; two brothers, Jack Zysfein and Ab- raham Zysfein, both of New York; a sister, Sheila Zysfein of New York; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. MINNIE KNOPPER, 81, died Dec. 30. She leaves two sons, Dr. M. Bodansky Martin Bodansky, a sheet metal worker for Cooney Engineering in Oak Park, died Dec. 27 at age 76. Born in New York, Mr. Bodansky was a former trustee of Local 80, Sheet Metal Workers and a volunteer for its credit union. He was a member of Tem- ple Israel, Pisgah Lodge of B'nai B'rith, Oak Park Masonic Lodge, Crescent Shrine Club, Scottish Rite Bodies, Odd Fellows and was active in efforts to help crippled and burned children. He leaves his wife, Katy; a son, Irwin; and a sister, Mrs. Eugene (Edna) StOne of Lynbrook, N.Y. Louis Mintz Louis Mintz, owner of Fay's Style Shop, died Dec. 27 at age 78. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Mintz was a member of Cong. B'nai Moshe and Mosaic Lodge of I the Masons. He leaves his wife:Rose; and a brother, Jack of Brooklyn. ( NEWS Israel parley New York — More than 10,000 delegates are expected to attend the first world assembly com- memorating the 40th anniversary of the victory over the Nazis in Israel next May. The gathering is being spon- sored by a worldwide coalition of Jewish organizations. Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and New York Mayor I Ed Koch are slated to be among the dignitaries at the assembly. Morton of Boulder, Colo., and Daniel; a daughter, Mrs. Stuart (Laurie) Graff; a brother, Irving Key of New York; a sister, Mrs. Mai (Tillie) Kastenbaum of New York; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. BARBARA KELTER KOMER, 81, died Dec. 26. She leaves a son, Richard Rice of Rotunda West, Fla.; a sister, Lillian Kelter Brook; two grandsons and six great-grandchildren. ROSE MARGOLIS, 84, of Far- mington Hills, died Dec. 28. Sur- vived by a son, Theodore (Isadore) of Van Nuys, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Evans; three M. Helfgott Matilda Helfgott, a member of Jewish women's organizations, died Dec. 27 at age 74. Born in Detroit, Mrs. Helfgott resided in Tamarac, Fla., at the time of her death. She was a member of Adat Shalom Synagogue, Women's American ORT, B'nai B'rith Women. and Hadassah. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Iry (Lue) Maggin of Potomac, Md., and Mrs. Leo (Sylvia) Cohen of Gaithersburg, Md.; a brother, Dr. Harold Maxmen of Southfield; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Levin of Southfield, Mrs. Rose Witt of Detroit and Mrs. Ann Hirschman; six grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Interment Detroit. M. Sussman Morris Sussman, a pharmacist, died Dec. 31 at age 81. Born in Russia, Mr. Sussman was a life member of Cong. Shaarey Zedek, a member of Per- fection Lodge of the Masons and the Aesculapian Pharmaceutical Association. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Sandra) Lorence and Mrs. Leonard (Bluma) Siegal; a son, Alan Sussman; a sister, Mrs. Jules (Ethel) Horowitz of Cleve- land, Ohio; and four grandsons. H. B. Kahrnoff Harry B. Kahrnoff, founder and owner of Cadillac Luggage lo- cated in Detroit for 25 years, died Dec. 27 at age 81. Born in Russia, Mr. Kahrnoff was a charter member of Tikvah Lodge of B'nai B'rith and a member of the Hebrew Benevo- lent Society. He is survived by his wife, Flor- ence; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Deanne) Hamburger, Lois and Mrs. Lawrence (Sharon) Gurs- ten; and four grandchildren.
