Mr. and Mrs. Hy Gordon

Gordon forest dedicated

In celebration of their golden
wedding anniversary back in
1974, and to symbolize their devo-
tion and dedication to Israel, Hy
and Yetta Gordon, along with
their family, planted a woodland
of 2,500 trees in Modiin, Israel
through the Jewish National
Fund.
Soon after, the Gordons in-
creased their woodland to a forest
of 10,000 trees. In October 1979,
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon were

scheduled to go to Israel for the
dedication when Gordon became
ill and their trip was canceled.
Health reasons have kept them
from traveling to Israel since that
time.

Dr. and Mrs. Norman and Mari-
lyn Schakne, their son-in-law and
daughter, have just recently re-
turned from Israel where they
dedicated the Hy and Yetta Gor- .
don Family Forest.
