Reg. 5 191,

Flexible, strong and
engineered for good
back support and
a great price!

Jerusalem (ZINS) — Young
people in Israel have shifted their
ideological stance away from the
liberal Labor Party and towards
the more right-leaning Likud, ac-
__, cording to a study by Prof. Yoha-
nan Peres of Tel Aviv University.
Prof. Peres compared young Is-
raelis to their counterparts in the
West, saying that in Israel, "Meir
Kahane and Hatechiya are
merely a reflection of what is hap-
pening on a global scale."

Tel Aviv (ZINS) — Menachem
Begin's lack of involvement in
last summer's Knesset election
was a deliberate attempt to help
push the Likud out of power, ac-
cording to a column by Joel Mar-
cus in the Israeli newspaper
Ha'aretz.
The former prime minister had
no desire to see his "successors" in
the Herut wing of Likud lead the
Jewish state, Marcus said.
