"No Child in Israel Without a
Chanukah" is the slogan adopted
by Greater Detroit Council,
Pioneer Women/Naamat for its
annual "Dollars for David" cam-
paign, announces Mrs. Frank
Rath, chairman of the. committee.
"Dollars for David" is a special
Chanukah project conceived by
Pioneer Women/Naamat to assist
children living in adverse condi-
tions as a result of wars, children
in border settlements exposed to
threats of terrorism, or orphans
who have no families with whom
to celebrate Chanukah.
There are about 20,000
youngsters in 500 day nurseries
throughout the country from ages
three months to five years who
rely on the services of Pioneer
Women/ Naamat for their support
and maintenance. These nurse-
ries are only part of the vast net-
work of social services provided by
