BJE program
to aid yeshivot

New York — The Board of
Jewish Education of Greater New
York (BJE) has set up a new,
management assistance program
that will provide free manage-
ment consultant services to
yeshivot throughout the United
States.
Through the consultations the
yeshivot will be offered strategies
to hell) save money without com-
promising on services. The
schools will also receive tips on
how to improve their facilities and
services at little or no cost.

One watermelon,

New York — Hoping to
capitalize on the popularity of
seedless grapes, an Israeli kibbutz
has developed a seedless
watermelon.
Growers at Kibbutz Nahal Oz
report that they can not keep up
with the demand for their new
breed of melon, which they claim
is cheaper to harvest, travels bet-
ter and keeps fresh longer than
conventional watermelons.
