Area pre-menstrual syndrome
support groups will sponsor meet-
ings with lectures on "P.M.S. Af-
fects Families, Too" by Dr. Ed-
ward M. Lichten at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday at the Farmington Hills
campus of Oakland Community
College, room J-294 and at 7:30
p.m. Dec. 11 at the Berkley Public
Library: The lectures are free.
Dr. Lichten directs the C.S.
Mott Center P.M.S. and
Gynecologic Pain Clinic at Wayne
State University. He is currently
working on a treatment for
menstrual migraine headaches.
Lichten, a member of the Sinai
Hospital staff, is working with
neurologist Dr. Ronald Bennett,
also a member of the Sinai staff.
The team is using a drug to lower
estrogen levels to help prevent
migraine headaches from occur-
ring.

proceeds will benefit the ORT

Physicians to gather
for Florida meeting

The American Physicians Fel-
lowship for Medicine in Israel will
hold its 12th annual Florida mid-
winter assembly Feb. 24-March 3
at the Diplomat Resort and Coun-
try Clubs in Hollywood, Fla.
The program will include social
activities for the physicians and
their wives.
Twenty lectures will be pre-
sented, which will earn 20 hours
of credit in category one of the
American Medical Association
Recognition Award. Physicians
who wish to present lectures may
do so.
