Brewster Broder Rabbi Finkelnzan holds the Haber award The B'nai B'rith Hillel Founda- tion at Wayne State University has been named a recipient of the William Haber Award for its Holocaust Education Project. This marks the first time the WSU Hillel has won a Haber award. The project, which took place during the 1983-1984 school year with the Jewish Students Asso- ciation of Oakland University serving as co-administrator, of- fered faculty membes at the two universities the chance to incor- porate Holocaust-related topics into their classes through a series of lectures. The lectures dealt with the psychopathology of the Holocaust, literary responses to the Holocaust, the Holocaust in law and the historical roots of the Holocaust. The project was designed to reach people not really aware of the events of the Holocaust era, according to Rabbi Louis Finkel- man, director of the WSU Hillel. The WSU project was one of five such projects at North American colleges and universities selected for 1984 Haber Awards. The award is named for William Haber, adviser to the executive officers and professor of economics at the University of Michigan. Prof. Haber has been active with B'nai B'rith Hillel Foundations for more than 45 years.
