Marc Keith Nakisher will twin
the observance of his bar mitzvah
celebration at 8:30 a.m. Saturday
at Cong. B'nai David with
Eliyahu Deshevsky, son of Dr.
Vladimir and Yanna Dashevsky
of Moscow, USSR.
Dr. Dashevsky is an astro-
physicist. In spring 1977 he, his
wife Yanna, and their two sons
Eliyahu and Moshe applied for
repatriation to Israel. They
waited 23 months for a reply.
When the answer finally came, it
was a refusal.
Soviet authorities informed

entist, Dr. Dashevsky had been
employed in theoretical physics
research. The director at his place
of work told him that his research
was not classified, but refused to
inform him of this fact.
After submitting emigration
papers, Dr. Dashevsky lost his job.
Since then he has not been able to
find work in his profession. As re-
sult, his family has been reduced
to a low level of subsistence.
