The Committee of Yeshivah
Zevihel of Jerusalem will host a
reception in honor of Rabbi.,
Gedalya Moshe Goldman, princi-
pal of the Yeshivah Zevihel of
Jerusalem,-at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday
at the Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch of the Jewish Community
Center.
Co-chairmen of the reception
are Rabbis Leizer Levin, Chaskel .
Grubner, Leib Bakst and Leo
Goldman.
Arranging the reception are:
Norman Adelsberg, Boruch Balaj,
Moric Berman, Sheldon Brown,
Louis Bregman, Dr. Henry Brys-
towski, Aaron Cannon, Samuel

This yeshivah was established
in Zevihel Russia by the Poltavar
Ellui. In 1927, the yeshivah was
relocated to Jerusalem under the
leadership of the Rabbi of Zevihel,
Rabbi Shlomo Goldman.
The yeshiva is ocated in the
Beth Israel section of Jerusalem.
It conducts classes for beginners
and has a kollel for marrieds. A
dormitory, dining room and Beth
Medrash also are included in the
confines of the yeshivah.

Beth Achim plans •
Nov. Oneg Shabbat

Cong. Beth Achim will hold an
Oneg Shabbat on Nov. 30, 7:30
p.m. in the Youth Lounge of the
synagogue. This is the first of sev-
eral family oriented Friday eve-
ning programs planned by the
congregation for the coming year.
The program Nov. 30 will in-
clude Shabbat songs led by Cantor
Max Shimansky and comments
by Rabbi Milton Arm on welcom-
ing the Sabbath, and the Torah
portion to be read at Saturday,
morning's service. In addition,
Rabbi Arm will talk on his re-
cently completed trip to West
Germany as part of a special rab-
binical mission.
After the short program there
will be a social hour. Refresh-
ments will be served.
