Detroit Brass concert slated

Detroit Brass Society, a five-
member brass ensemble, will be
presented by the Vivace Commit-
tee of the Birmingham Temple on
Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the temple.
Group rates are available. For in-
formation, call Joan Rose, 543-
5912.
The group was formed by pro-
fessional musicians ten years ago
to bring to the Detroit area the
vast body of music written for
brass instruments. Its repertoire
varies from J.S. Bach to Scott Jop-
lin. The society has performed at
the Detroit Institute of Arts, local
colleges and at the Prudential
Town Center.
Other programs in the Vivace
series are: An Evening with Bol-
com and Morris, March 10; and
New World String Quartet, April
21.
