Angeles, Calif.; and three
grandchildren. Interment Sun-

IVER S. KAHN, 84, died Nov. 13.
He leaves his wife, Julie; a son,
Joel of Lansing; two sisters, Mrs.
Ralph (Marian) Mills of Lincoln,
Mich., and Mrs. Ruth Goldberg of
Bay City; three brothers, Sydney
of California, William of Harris-
ville, Mich., and Gerson of Os-
coda, Mich.
SAM COHEN, 71, of Southfield,
died Nov. 9 in Miami Beach, Fla.
Survived by his wife, Alice; two
daughters, Mrs. Howard (Joyce)
Kuretzky and Mrs. Howard (Lor-
raine) Storchan; sand four
grandchildren.
MAURICE ECKSTAT, 70, died
Nov. 10 in Phoenix, Ariz. He
leaves three sons, Arthur, Dr.
Steve and Les; two sisters, Mrs.
Fannie Brawerman and Mrs.
Edith Wolgin, both of Detroit; and
one grandson.
MARTIN MAX EDEN, 78, of
Oak Park, died Nov. 10. Survived
by a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Cherry)
Runde; and two grandchildren.
IDA EPSTEIN, 71, of Southfield
diedNov. 13 in Boulder, Colo. She
leaves her husband, Samuel; a
daughter, Mrs. Michael (Marsha)
Caplan; a brother, Sam Palley;
and two grandchildren.
JOSEPH FREED, 68, died Nov.
12. He leaves his wife, Helen; two
sons, Harvey and Maurice David;
two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Rose)
Stocker of La Habra, Calif., and
Mrs. Arthur (Bessie) Kutnick.
HARRY C. GELLMAN, 77,
former Detroiter of Lauderdale
Lakes, Fla., died Nov. 12. Sur-
vived by his wife, Rae; a son, Mar-
vin of Coronado, Calif.; a daugh-
ter, Mrs. Sally Miller of Keego
Harbor; a sister, Mrs. Benjamin
(Jean) Riabit; four grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
Interment Detroit.
IRVING E. GLAZER, 85, of Oak
Park, died Nov. 10. Survived by
his wife, Rhea; two sons, Alvin
and Gerald A. of Encino, Calif.; a
brother, Nathan of New York; a
sister, Mrs. Dora Lester of New
York; three grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.
MAX GREEN, 76, died Nov. 12.
He leaves his wife, Annette; a son,
Lawrence of Chicago, Ill.; a
daughter, Harriet; a brother,
Erwin of San Diego, Calif.; and
two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Ruth) Shri-
Albert Raphael
Albert Raphael, a member of
B'nai B'rith and Masonic lodges,
died Nov. 10 at age 85.
Born in Greece, Mr. Raphael
was a life member of the Mosaic
and Oak lodges of the Masons and
Brandeis Lodge of B'nai B'rith.
He leaves his wife, Fannie; a
daughter, Mrs. Jackie (Bernice)
Gill; three grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
JOAN .BISTRITZKY HYMAN,
36, died Nov. 11. She leaves
cousins.
BESSIE KALISH, 90, of Detroit,
died Nov. 14. Survived by her
husband, Alex; two sons, Isadore
and Dr. Simon J. of Prairie Vil-
lage, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs.
Louis (Dorothy) Willis of North
Hollywood, Calif., and Mrs.
Charles (Ida) Chapin of Detroit; a
sister, Mrs. Pearl Weidenfeld;
seven grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
JOSEPH KATZ, 98, died Nov.
14. He leaves two daughters, Mrs.
Maurice (Mary) Katz and Mrs.
Louis (Libby) Breyer; four
grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren.
HEDI KISS, 69, former Detroiter
of Ft. Lee, N.J., died Nov. 9. She
leaves her husband, Frank; a
daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Erika)
Suchman of New City, N.Y.; a sis-
ter, Mrs. Thomas (Pearl) Mauth-
ner of Livonia; and one grandson.
BELLE LEVINE, 75, died Nov.
12. She leaves her husband, Irv-
ing; two sons, Leon and Arthur;
and five grandchildren.
GUSSIE LIFTON, 93, died Nov.
12. She leaves a son, Maurice; two
daughters, Mrs. Edward (Helen)
Biegel of West Los Angeles, Calif.,
and Mrs. John (Florence) Brown-
fain; a brother, Abe Zuk; a sister,
Mrs. Morris (Sarah) Litton; and
four grandchildren.
ESTHER MINDLIN, 68, of Oak
Park, died Nov. 12. Survived by
her husband, Max; two sons, Dr.
Alan M. and Dr. Lyle S.; a daugh-
ter, Mrs. Sol (Shari Lyn) Dresher
of New York City; and two
grandchildren.
MAX POLAKOFF, 71, died Nov.
14. He leaves his wife, Ruth; two
