Tuttleman to head B'nai B'rith

Oscar J. Tuttleman has been
elected president of the 6,000-
member B'nai B'rith Metropoli-
tan Detroit Council.
Tuttleman's B'nai B'rith activi-
ties started with membership in
the A.Z.A., the boys division of the
youth organization.
Tuttleman is a member of the
Ivan S. Bloch-Israel Lodge 1677.
He was president of the lodge and
is a past president of its bowling
league. He had also served as a
Metropolitan

BBWomen to probe
Nairobi meeting

B'nai B'rith Women's Council of
Metropolitan Detroit will be re-
presented at meetings to educate
women about the U.N. Interna-
tional Conference in Nairobi in
1985.
Attending from the Detroit
area will be Barbara Zonder, a
member of the executive board of
B'nai B'rith Women nationally,
and Gloria Ellis, a member of the
national services committee of
BBW.
The women will attend the Dec.
9 meeting in Milwaukee, Wis.
Subsequent meetings will be held
in Los Angeles, Calif., Boston,
Mass., Houston, Tex., Toronto,
Ont., and Pittsburgh, Pa.

Lawrence Hyman is the record-
ing secretary and Edward
Skulsky is the assistant recording
secretary. James Grey was re-
elected treasurer.
Trustees are: Jacob Braslaw,
Charles Growe, Sol Lefton, Sam
Lipson, Michael Tobin and Irving
Yellin.
Alexander T. Ornstein will be-
come the retention chairman of
the 10-state District 6.
