Jewish Association for Re-
tarded Citizens has announced a
new service to families with dis-
abled children, the Parent Net-
work. The Parent Network will
match parents who have gained
knowledge in a specific area or
have dealt with a particular emo-
tional concern related to their
child, with other parents who
have the same needs.
A few areas in which parents
could share their expertise in-
clude locating competent child
care, effecting changes in a public
school program, or coping with
the stress of caring for a disabled
child.
Parents who have specialized
information or experience and
would be willing to share it with
JARC or with other parents
should call the JARC family as-
sistance coordinator, 557-7650.
