The senior adult department of
the Jewish Community Center
will join with the Midrasha on
Wheels for a series on "A Look at
Jewish Humor — From Shtetl to
Suburbia" at 1 p.m. Fridays at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris Branch.
The series will be conducted by
Sharon Schwartz. The public is
invited free of charge.
Project Mainstream of the de-
partment is still seeking isolated
elderly in the community in an
effort to acquaint them with and
involve them in Center activities.
A slide-lecture program about
the synagogue at Caesarea will be
held at 1 p.m. Nov. 23 in the as-
sembly hall of the Morris Branch.
Prof. Norma Goldman of the
Greek and Latin languages and
literatures department will be the
guest speaker.
All senior are invited free of
charge.
A lecture on "Arthritis Re-
medies — Don't Be Fooled" will be
held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Mor-
ris Branch. Dr. Henry Brystowski
of the Sinai Hospital rheumatol-
ogy department will speak. A
follow-up workshop will be held at
11 a.m. Nov. 27 in the Morris
Branch. Sinai physical therapist
Karen Lewis will conduct the
workshop. For information about

Trivia Game on Sunday at 10 a.m.
It is based on the book The Jewish
Trivia and Information Book.
Teams will be from Jewish Par-
ents Institute, Cong. B'nai Moshe
and Birmingham Temple. Mod-
erator will be Stuart Sklar.
Guests are invited.

of Metropolitan Detroit-Jimmy
Prentis Morris Branch is nearing
completion of the branch's
$42,000 renovations program.
The program has been made
possible by grants from United
Foundation, Jewish Welfare Fed-
eration and Area Agency on
Aging for the state of Michigan.
