LOANS ARRANGED

DAVID - HORODOKER
WOMEN'S ORGANIZATION
will have a victory meeting and
luncheon noon Tuesday in the
MCL Restaurant in Tel-12 Mall,
announces Mrs. Harry Hochman,
president. Betty Starkman, past
president and founder of the
Genealogical Branch of the
Jewish Historical Society of
Michigan, will be the guest
speaker.
The women's organization has
honored Fannie Luchtan as its
woman of the year with a citation
from the American Red Magen
David for Israel.

GOLDA MEIR CHAPTER,
Pioneer Women/Naamat, will
hold a regular business meeting
at noon Monday in the Kristen
Towers, 25900 Greenfield, Oak
Park. Future festivals will be dis-
cussed. Prospective members and
guests are invited. Refreshments
will be served.

SOUTHWOODS CHAPTER,
Women's American ORT, will
have a paid-up membership
luncheon at which new members
will be honored at noon on Nov. 27
at the main Jewish Community
Center. It will be followed by a
guided tour of the Holocaust
Memorial Center.
Chairman of the Day is Pro-
gram Vice President Phyllis
Waze. Membership Vice
President is Shirley. Levin. Chap-
ter President is Dorothy
Superstine. The luncheon is open
only to paid-up members, and
there is a charge.

TEMPLE BETH EL SISTER-
HOOD will attend a Detroit
Symphony Orchestra Coffee Con-
cert, followed by lunch at Lelli's,
on Nov. 30, leaving by bus from
the temple parking lot at 9:15
a.m. There is a fee, and paid
reservations are due by Nov. 25.

TEMPLE ISRAEL SISTER-
HOOD will have a luncheon
meeting at noon Monday in the
temple. Tavy Stone, fashion
editor of The Detroit News, will be
the guest speaker. There is a fee
for the luncheon. Guests are in-

Temple Israel Sisterhood A.M.
Entertainment will feature Chef
Rick Halberg at 10 a.m. Nov. 26 at
the temple.
Halberg will give an informal
demonstration and discussion
which will include how to prepare
a low salt, low cholesterol entree.
Bagels and coffee will be served.
Admission is nominal, and reser-

official to speak
at pre-donor rally

OAKLAND HILLS CHAPTER
of Women's American ORT, will
present Elaine Jordan who will
speak on and show "Fun Ways to
Wear Scarves, Shawls, Belts and
Jewelry" on Tuesday at 11:45 a.m.
in the home of Marion Menczer,

Sunny Rubin

Sunny Rubin will be the guest
speaker at the Women of Jewish
National Fund's pre-donor rally
to be held on Tuesday at noon at
Temple Emanu-El, announced
Bea Feigeleman, president.
The event is the prelude to the
Women's 55th annual donor
luncheon planned for Dec. 11 at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek. At that
time, the Women of JNF will
begin their three-year challenge
to raise $250,000 for the estab-
lishment of the Kiryat Shmoneh
Recreational Area.
Mrs. Rubin is vice president of
Jewish National Fund of Chicago
and an associate member of the
national board of Hadassah. She
is a member of the board of gover-
nors of Israel Bonds; served on the
Mideast and Soviet Jewry boards
of the public affairs committee;
was chairman of the board of the
Chicago Zionist Federation and
