cerned about democratic de-
velopment in Nicaragua," Shor
continued, "we should let them
develop it without our interven-
tion. I have faith it can work."
Referring back to a right wing
which has not been brought to
trial for its crimes, Shor stated
that "seeking to destabilize and
overthrow the movement only
serves to perpetuate illegal pol-
icy."
Whether Witness For Peace is
correct or the U.S. government is
correct is not the actual question.
What needs to be done, according
to Shor, is an in-depth analysis of
foreign policy in Central America
and how that foreign policy affects
the Jewish community, demo-
cratic development in Nicaragua,
and mankind as a whole.
