the daughter of David and Sylvia
Kruger. She attended Shaare
Zedek Sunday School, studied his-
tory and economics at the Univer-
sity of Michigan, and saw a notice
about this program placed on the
U-M Hillel bulletin board.
The physical labor, peculiarly
enough, seems to be one of the
most attractive features of the
program. "We get the feeling
we're doing something real," one
of the girls said, as she steered a
wheelbarrow down a narrow
plank path.
The Botzers began the project
on their own when Aharon came
from Cleveland ten years ago,
squatted on a weedy ruin, and dug
out his own home. The glamor at-
tracted others, and a disciplined
program gradually emerged. To
date more than 200 young people
have gone through the course.
