nomics and planning, are slated to
appear at the Israel Bond Tribute
Dinner sponsored by Cong.
Shaarey Zedek on Wednesday.
The dinner, scheduled for 6:30
p.m., will honor Beverly and Irv-
ing Laker, recipients of the State
of Israel's Gates of Jerusalem
Medal. General chairman of the
event is William M. Davidson.
Dinner chairmen are Marvin
Fleischman and Myron L. Mil-
grom.
Prior to his appointment as Is-
rael's minister of economics and
planning, Yaacobi was chairman
of the finance committee of the
Knesset.
Yaacobi served as minister of
transport in the Labor govern-
ment from 1974 to 1977 after
holding the post of deputy trans-
port minister for four years. He
became a member of the Knesset
in 1969 and served as a member of
