Friedel Hopfeld honored on 80th
Friedel Hopfeld celebrated her
80th birthday Thursday, Nov. 8,
at a dinner and reception for fam-
ily and friends in the home of her
grandson, Ron Hirsch, in
Franklin Village.
Friedel and her late husband,
Fred, came to the Uthted States
from northern Germany in 1937,
and two years later formed Fred
Hopfeld and Co., a wholesale
jewelry firm. After working to-
gether for 23 years, the Hopfelds
retired in 1962, touring South
America, Europe, Switzerland,
Italy, Germany and Vienna.

Mr. Hopfeld, who died in 1975,
