Clubs of Metro Detroit. He serves
as a director of the Detroit Sym-

land School of Economics and

the United States announces that
Bernard M. Fauber, chairman of
the board and chief executive offi-
cer of the Kmart Corp., and David
Handleman, chairman of the
board and chief executive officer
of the Handleman Co., will be the
co-recipients of the prestigious
B'nai B'rith International Great
American Traditions Award at
the annual dinner Dec. 5 at the
Westin Hotel at 6 p.m.
Fauber is a graduate of the ad-
vanced management program of
the Harvard Business School. He

and community social services
and fine arts activities.
Handleman is on the board of
the United Foundation, Friends of
Modern Art at the Detroit Insti-
tute of Arts, Interlochen Music
Camp and the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra. He also is a member of
the board of the Council of Jewish
Federations and a trustee of Oak-
land University.
Handleman serves in several
top posts, including the Allied
Jewish Campaign, the Jewish
Welfare Federation and the Na-
tional Jewish Hospital/National
Asthma Center in Denver, Colo.
He also is a trustee of the Ameri-
can Jewish Committee and
president of the United Jewish
Charities.
Alan E. Schwartz is the general
chairman for the dinner.
Following the presentation and
acceptance of the awards by the
honorees, singer-composer Barry
Manilow will perform.
Proceeds from the dinner will
benefit the B'nai B'rith Youth
Serving Agencies. Attire is black
tie optional and dietary laws will

A. Dennis Warriner has become
Sinai Hospital of Detroit's new di-
rector of dietetics. He will be re-
sponsible for the management,
planning, budgeting, and quality
assurance of the food and dietetics
services provided to Sinai's
patients, visitors, employees and
medical staff.
Before coming to Sinai, War-
He is a member of the American
Society of Hospital Food Service
Administrators, Michigan Chap-
ter, presently serving as its trea-
surer and a member of its board of
directors.
He received his Bachelor of Arts
degree in hotel, restauf.ant and
institutional management from
Michigan State University in
1971; has completed additional
courses covering such topics as
change implementation, stress
management, time management,
and leadership; and is currently a
candidate for a Master of Science
and Administration degree at
Central Michigan University.
