The author of The Hurried Child and All Grown Up and No Place to Go, Dr. Elkind also is in- volved in research in cognitive and perceptual development, clin- ical work with children and ado- lescents, and lecturing in the United States and abroad. He is the author of more than 300 professional publications and has appeared on TV news and interview programs. Dr. Elkind will focus his talk on how society pressures children to grow up and will describe ways to reduce that pressure.
