Plans for the fall Breakfast
with Bar-Ilan meeting, slated
9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Bloom-
field Hills home of Linda
Goldman, are nearly complete,
announced Joanne Zuroff, vice
president - Programming for the
American Women for Bar-Ilaii
University, Detroit Chapter. Ad-
mission is complimentary for
members, and the nominal charge
for non-members is applicable to
dues.
The morning's featured speaker
will be Sidney Feldman, who will
report on his recent visit to the
Bar-Ilan campus. In addition to
his Bar-flan activities, Feldman
is involved at several levels at
Adat Shalom Synagogue: he
serves on the synagogue board, is
co-chairman of its membership
committee, and is an active par-
ticipant in its ritual committee,
adult study commission and
men's club. He also is a member of
the Hadracha Young Leadership
Development program of the
Jewish Welfare Federation.
Guest artist for the breakfast
meeting will be pianist Alexander
Resin. The Moscow-born artist
began his piano studies at 7 at the
Moscow School of Music. Graduat-
ing in 1975 with honors from the
Moscow College of - Music, he con-
tinued his musical training at
Moscow State Institute of Music,
from which he earned a master's
degree in 1980.
From 1970 to 1975 Resin held
the position of pianist and soloist
with the Moscow District
Philharmonia Orchestra, and
from 1975 to 1980 the position of
piano instructor at the Moscow
College of Music, while also serv-
ing as pianist with the prestigious
Moscow State Philharmonia
under conductors Duderova and
Rozhdesvensky, and performing
as a soloist with the Chamber Or-
chestra, and with the Moscow
Television and Radio Symphonic
Orchestra.
Before emigrating to the U.S.,
Resin was an assistant professor
of piano at the Moscow Institute of
Music. Since his arrival in the
U.S., he has taught piano at West
Bloomfield University School,
given recitals and taught pri-
vately.

with Bar-Ilan, call the univer-
sity's local office, 398-7180.
