Machon L'Torah
luncheon Nov. 11

The women's division of
Machon L'Torah-Torah Center
will sponsor a benefit luncheon to
celebrate the opening of its com-
munity library on Nov. 11 at 1
p.m. at Young Israel of Southfield,
27705 Lahser, Southfield. Dairy
luncheon will be served, and
babysitting provided.
Musicians Gloria Gardin and
Devorah Moskowitz will provide
musical entertainment. Mrs.
Gardin has a B.S. degree in music
from Wayne State University.
She currently teaches beginning
classical guitar and beginning
piano privately as well as Suzuki
violin, music theory and
flutophone at Oakland Commu-
nity College. She has played with
several local orchestras including
the orchestra at Meadow Brook.
Mrs. Moskowitz studied piano
at Michigan State University.
She also plays the guitar, the re-
corder and the harpsichord. She
has taught folk guitar using
Jewish songs. She performs both
classical and popular music at
community functions.
