BBW honoree Gertrude Tait dies Gertrude Tait, recipient of the B'nai B'rith Women Israel Chap- ter's woman of the year award, died Oct. 31 at age 77. Born in New Brunswick, N.J., David Pollack David Pollack, a salesman for People's Outfitting, now retired, died Oct. 29 at age 89. Born in Wisconsin, Mr. Pollack was .a member of Temple Beth El, Jewish War Veterans and the Masons. He was active in ath- letics and was a former amateur boxer. He also belonged to the People's Outfitting Billiard's Club. He was a volunteer for Meals- on-Wheels. He leaves a son, Dr. Ronald; a daughter, Lucille; and one grandson. Rose Kruman Rose Kruman, a member of Jewish communal organizations, died Oct. 28 at age 65. Born in Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Kruman was a member of Women's American ORT, Infants Service Group, Morgenthau Chapter of B'nai B'rith Women and City of Hope. She leaves two sons, Dr. Neal and Ronald; a brother, Sy Jacobs; a sister, Mrs. Max (Gladys) Bas- kin; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Tait was an active member and past president of the Israel Chapter. She also was the hospi- tal chairman for the B'nai B'rith Women. She was a counselor for the Oakland University Continuum Center. She leaves her husband, Mur- ray; a son, Prof. Charles of Ann Arbor; four daughters, Bernice Robbins, Miriam Pergament, Elinor Siegwald of Phoenix, Ariz., and Karen of Los Angeles, Calif; a brother, Dr. William Barron; 14 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
