the University of Vermont.
Dr. Friedman spent 15 years in
close contact with the Jewish
philosopher Martin Buber. Dur-
ing this time he translated and
edited Buber's writings, pub-
lished numerous articles about
him, and wrote Martin Buber: The
Life of Dialogue, which Buber
The final programs in the city of
Southfield's series on alcohol and
drug abuse will be held 7:30 p.m.
Monday and Nov. 5 in room 221 of
the Southfield Parks and Recrea-
tion Building.
Monday's program examines
intervention efforts and commu-
nity support systems. On Nov. 5,
the topic will be "Parents, Peers,
Prevention."
