The Cooperative Council of the
League of Jewish Women's
Organizations will hold an early
Chanukah luncheon for patients
from hospitals, nursing homes,
half-way houses and foster homes
at the main Jewish Community
Center on Nov. 7 at 11:30 a.m.
Volunteers are needed, as well
as small gifts, to assist about 250
patients. Chairmen of the lunch-
eon are Mrs. Frances Brown 352-
3928; and
Mrs. Dolores
Greenspan, 353-3390. Gifts
chairman is Mrs. Hanna Linden,
851-1555. Monetary contribu-
tions are tax deductible.
Ladies of Oak Park are respon-
sible for the transportation of the
patients to and from the Center,
assisted by Mrs. Faye Menczer
and Joe Lapides, both of the
Jewish Vocational Service, as
well as Rabbi and Mrs. Solomon
Gruskin. Miriam Lawrence is the
liaison to the hospitals.
Besides the Chanukah lunch-
eon and the Passover Seder in Ap-
ril, the council assists needy
families, when contacted by pro-
