Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nelson (Susan) Pole of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; three 1 n-others, Philip Shiovitz of Lauderhill, Fla., Dr. Louis Shiovitz and Harry Shiovitz; two sisters, Mrs. Newton (Sally) Jackson of Camarillo, Calif., and Mrs. Carl (Pearl) LeVine of Silver Spring, Md.; and four grandsons. JACK J. COHEN, 68, died Oct. 12. He leaves two sons, Mark and Dr. Gary; a daughter, Mrs. Har- vey (Judy) Simon; three brothers, Herman of California, Dr. Leslie , :and Murray; and three grandchildren. - JEROME J. ELDEN, 91, of Ann Arbor, died Oct. 15. He leaves his wife, Blanche; three sons, Judge Sylvia Raimi, 83 Sylvia Raimi, president and founder of Raimi Draperies, died Oct. 14 at age 83. Born in Poland, Mrs. Raimi lived 64 years in the U.S. and 60 years in Detroit. The daughter of a tailor, Mrs. Raimi founded her -.drapery and curtain store chain in 1924. She became known in the drap- ery industry for innovations and curtain retailing. She was active in music circles and Jewish charities. She is survived by her husband, Jacob; three sons, Abraham, Ralph of Rochester, N.Y., and Shepherd of New York; six grand- children and four great-grand- children. Sanford Gordon - Sanford N. Gordon, an attorney with the Veterans Administra- tion, died Oct. 12 at age 73. Born in Detroit, Mr. Gordon was a World War II Army vete- ran. He was a member and past president of Cong. Beth Achim and past president of the men's club of Adat Shalom Synagogue. He leaves his wife, Belle; two daughters, Mrs. Jonathan (Su- san) Rosenbaum of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Dres- ser of Essexville, Mich.; a brother, Aubrey I.; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Rose) Diamond and Mrs. James (Sylvia) Helfer; and three grand- sons. NEWS Blast injures kids Jerusalem (JTA) — A roadside explosion on the West Bank in- jured seven Israeli school children Monday, none of them seriously. The incident occurred near Nab- lus when a bomb detonated close to a bus carrying children on a tour of the area. They were -evacuated by helicopter to a hos- pital in Jerusalem. S. J. FRIEDMAN, 74, former Detroiter of Tamarac, Fla., died Oct. 15.
