'updates language

The Random House Thesaurus
' has been issued as a college edi-
tion serving as an impressive
.ompanion to the popular Ran-
dom House College Dictionary.
The new 800-page thesaurus
was edited by Jess Stein, editor-
in-chief emeritus of the Random
House Dictionary, and Stuart
Berg Flexner, the present editor-
in-chief.
The new edition, already ap-
prent as the most easy to use,
lists more than 11,000 main
words lists. Grouped together,
they define some 200,000
ynonyms and antonyms, provid-
ing meanings and frequency of
