Tillem was formerly associate

nus of Yeshiva University, ITRI
and Sh'or Yoshuv Institute, he
has written extensively on Jewish
themes. A native of Far Rocka-
way, N.Y., he practices law in
New York and Boston.
Ze'ev Chafets, former Detroiter
and former director of the Israel
Government Press Office, will
speak at 8 p.m. Nov. 14. His talk is
sponsored by the Jewish National
Fund and Zionist Organization of
Detroit.
Chafets' book Double Vision
examines U.S. government man-
ipulaton of the press, the use of
Arab terror against American
journalists and the influence of
Arab oil money on the media.
Born in Michigan, Chafets
moved to Israel in 1967. After a
decade in the army and politics, in
1977 he was appointed the direc-
tor of Israel's Government Press
Office. He has been a special re-
search fellow of the Lehrman In-
stitute in New York, has written
for numerous national publica-
