Editor to address
Einstein lunch forum

Gary Rosenblatt, editor of The
Jewish News and the Baltimoe
Jewish Times, will discuss "The(
Role of the Jewish Newspaper" at
the next session of the Einsteii
Luncheon Forum on Oct. 22 at,
noon at Hamilton Place, it was
announced by Judges Ira G.
Kaufman and Norman W. Feder,
the forum's co-chairmen.
Rosenblatt has been the editor
of the Baltimore publication sinc ,=.
1974, having previously served as
assistant editor of The Jewish
Week in New York, a New Jersey
correspondent for the New York
Times and sports editor of TV
Guide.
In 1974 and again in 1977 and
1980, Rosenblatt was named win-
ner of the Smolar Award for Ex
cellence in North American
Jewish Journalism. He also is a
two-time winner of the Simon
Rockower Award for Excellence
in Jewish Journalism, sponsored
by the American Jewish Press
Association. He has contributed_
articles to general newspapers,
and magazines and has written a
weekly column for the Baltimore
News-American.
In 1983, he was chosen as a U.S,
delegate to the First World As 2
sembly of Young Jewish Leade:-
ship, held in Israel.
Born in 1947, Rosenblatt is a
1968 graduate of Yeshiva Univer-
sity.
