Laker was dinner committee
chairman of the 1982 annual
Jewish National Fund testimo-
nial dinner which paid tribute to
his parents, Harry and Sarah
Laker, and served as chairman of
the 55th anniversary dinner-
dance of Pinsker Progressive Aid
Society.
He is president of Ace Wiping
Cloth Co., Gallagher Industrial
Laundry of Detroit, Mechanics
Uniform Rental Co. of Detroit,
Hamilton Wiping Cloth Co. of
Ohio, and Flint Sterilized Prod-
ucts of Flint. He is a member and
past director of the International
Association of Wiping Cloths
Manufacturers, and a member of
the Institute of Industrial Laun-
derers. He is a 32nd degree Mason
of the Craftsman Lodge and, as a
graduate of the University of
Michigan, is active in the Univer-
sity of Michigan Detroit Club.
Beverly Laker is a past vice
president of Sisterhood of Cong.
Shaarey Zedek, and is chairman
of the memorial plaque committee
at the synagogue.

She is a member of the board
and a vice president of the Jewish
Home for Aged Auxiliary.
Mrs. Laker is chairman of the
new Fleischman Residence Gift
Shop of the Jewish Home for
Aged.
She is affiliated with the
Women's Division of the Allied
Jewish Campaign and is active in
the Metropolitan Detroit Israel
