Restaurant at 19460 W. 10 Mile Rd.
(1 Blk. E. of Evergreen)

has a delightful, airy atmosphere
and healthy, unusual dishes.
We enjoyed the odor of spiceQ
which seems to permeate the res
taurant which is replete withl
greenery. Our Mediterraneari
Salad was more than adequate
and consisted of goodies like
peapods, alfalfa sprouts, ar-
tichokes, chopped eggs, lettuce
and feta cheese. We also tried th
fresh fruit plate with frozen
yogurt and spicy iced tea. Whcke
wheat rolls with a homemade
flavor topped off a nutritious and
satisfying meal.
"Mountain King's Chinese Res-1
taurant on Maple Road in Bir- 1
mingham prepares dishes such a.
spring egg rolls and even chicken
chow mein with a unique style'
and flavor. Others in our party
gave rave notices to the almond
boneless chicken.
"At Wing Hong's Tokyo
Japanese Steak House on 14 Mile
and Orchard Lake Road, the at
mosphere is truly Oriental like a
fishing village complete with la-
goon and waterfalls. Steak, chic-
ken, shrimp or lobster is prepared'
fresh and cooked at a Hibachi
table by specially-trained chefs
from Japan who entertain you
with their skill and showman-
ship. Exotic drinks are served
Japanese figurine mugs which
you can take home. Dining family
style with deft Japanese waitres-'
ses serving Saki, rice, soup and
other Oriental dishes is a delight !
We haven't yet mustered the
courage to try the raw fish e+
Wing's new Sushi bar.
"Grub Street Hermit is a fun
eatery on Maple Road just east of
Coolidge in Troy. The atmosphere
is casual and friendly and the
menu includes steaks, prime rib,
and seafood as well as super,
sandwiches and a great nacho
dish. Spirits are also served.
"Love the ribs and onion rings'
at Tapperooney's on 14 Mile in
Royal Oak. The atmosphere's a
cut above the usual ribbery.
