Henry S. Gornbein has been
elected chairman of the 2,400-
member family law section of the
State Bar of Michigan.
A 1968 graduate of the Univer-
sity of Michigan Law School;
Gornbein is also a fellow of the
American Academy of Matrimo-
nial Lawyers and is the vice
president of the Michigan Chap-
ter.
Gornbein also is the president
of the Michigan Inter-
Professional Association on Mar-
riage, Divorce and the Family,
Inc. He is the co-author of Michi-
gan Family law, second edition.
He is also a member of the board of
directors and executive commit-
tee of Jewish Family Service, as
well as being a member of the
board of directors of Catholic So-
cial Services of Oakland County.
He is past co-chairman of the
mediation sub-committee of the
family law section of the State Bar
of Michigan and is also a member
of the Oakland County Bar Asso-
ciation.
A trial attorney concentrating
in divorce litigation, Gornbein
practices law in Birmingham
with Baskin, Feldstein and Gorn-
bein, an Association of Counsel.

UJA student board
names Detroiter

Mark Prussian of Southfield
has been appointed national vice
chairman of the student advisory
board of United Jewish Appeal.
The student advisory board
(SAB) is a group of about 50 per-
sons, all under age 26, who have
chaired college UJA campaigns in
the past. Because of their experi--
ence they act as advisers to the
leaders of nearly 400 UJA college
campaigns that will take place
across the U.S. this winter and
spring.
In Michigan, UJA campaigns
are conducted at Wayne State
University, Oakland University,
Michigan State. University and
the University of Michigan.

Philatelist group
meets in Oak Park

The Oak Park Stamp Club
Society of Israel Philatelists will
meet on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the
Oak Park Community Center.
The program will consist of a-
slide show entitled "Interim
Stamps of Israel." A trading ,'
bourse will procede the meeting.
Refreshments will be served. Ad-
mission is free.
