medical-dental council, who presented the Pikuach Nefesh Award; Larry
Brenners, financial secretary; and Dr. John J. Mames, chairman

A fully-equipped ambulance
was donated to Magen David
Adorn, Israel's emergency
medical-health, blood and ambu-
lance service by Mr. and Mrs.
Norman Adelsberg and children.
This recently dedicated gift was
given in memory of Eliyahu Yit-
zhak Adelsberg (Adelsberg's
brother), a resident of Kfar Saba
since 1948.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman
Adelsberg, natives of Poland and
survivors of Mauthausen and Au-
schwitz extermination camps, re-
spectively, are active on behalf of
numerous local and Israeli
causes. "
Among the various organiza-
tions and charities with which
they are affiliated are: Albert
Einstein Lodge and Chapter,
B'nai B'rith (both past presidents
of the lodge and chapter); Shaarit
Haplaytah Organization — Sur-
vivors of the Nazi Holocaust; life
members of Bar-Ilan University
and Akiva Day School; Shaare
Zedek Hospital; Jewish National
Fund; and Holocaust Memorial
Center.
Fani Adelsberg holds life mem-
bership at Mizrachi Women's
Organization. Her husband is the
recipient of the New Life Award,
bestowed upon him at last year's
Einstein Lodge testimonial
dinner on behalf of the State of
Israel Bonds. The Adelsbergs are
members of the Cong. Shomrey
Emunah and they support
numerous other religious institii
tions and educational projects.
Adelsberg serves on the board o
directors of the Michigan Region,
American Red Magen David for
Israel (ARMDI).
The Pikuach Nefesh Award was
presented the Adelsbergs "in
recognition of their outstanding
contribution of a life saving am-
bulance to Magen David Adorn
(MDA) Israel's Red Cross Society
and for helping MDA bring the
hope of a brighter future to Is
rael's ailing, injured, aged and
newborn." The ambulance will h9
assigned to Kfar Saba.
