,, take advantage of overnight,
casino "cruises to nowhere" from
this resort city on the Red Sea.
The British-run Casino is aboard
K-Lines' 6,200-ton Greek-
registered ocean-liner, the M.S.
) Orion, which will be making a
series of cruises from Eilat from
mid-December until April 1985.
The 300-passenger vessel offers
its passengers a swimming-pool,
two bars, nightclub, discotheque
and several sun decks as well as
the casino. The casino features
roulette, blackjack and craps.
Israel, although a major tourist
, destination, has no casino, thus
the Orion's cruises fill a gap for
travelers interested in gambling.
For those people wishing to spend
more time at sea, weekend cruises
to the Egyptian port of Sharm-
el-Sheik are also available.
The city of Eilat, one of Israel's
most popular winter attractions,
features an excellent array of
hotels, including the five-star
Aviya Sonesta resort and the
four-star Dan Lagoona. The town
boasts a number of first-rate res-
taurants, mainly French and
North African, as well as night-
clubs and discotheques.

Fair will be held May 5 - 10, 1985,
Mayor Teddy Kollek announced
last month. The fair is expected to
