George and Sicilia working in the
kitchen.
Didn't think so few people could
eat the huge chocolate cake made
by waitress Diane Emmi . . . just a
small piece left . . . Harry Wein-
berger's cold must have been bad
if he missed being with good
friend George on this birthday .. .
Harry's bride, Josephine, didn't
even go to a bingo . . . and their
daughter Marian kept Mom corn-
pany at Como's . . . George and
Sicilia's daughter, Madonna, with
new hubby Dorn Cavataio, such a
beautiful couple . . . Sid Frumkin
minus 17 pounds . . . and wife
Marilyn without 30 pounds .. .
Pretty and sweet as a picture,
Sicilia's mother, Mimi
Passalacqua . . . George and
Sicilia finally got done and ate
their own cooking.
ABOUT 400 WOMEN were
treated to a delightful lunch and
stunning fashion show recently
. . . when Women's Committee of
Tam-O-Shanter put on its scintil-
lating shindig.
Top note was the fashion show
. . . coordinated and produced by
Leah Marks . . . on long runway
with excellent, poised models
showing beautiful fashions in
precision timing to bouncy disco
rhythms . . . So many oohs and
aahs from the fashionable
attendees as Studio Dancewear,
SHE and Robert Mann Furs ex-
hibited their breathtaking gar-
ments.
Pleasant also to sit with .. .
Chava Adler, Yolande Jannett,
Sybil Little, Shirley Becker, Leah
Marks, Jan Mann, Al Winkler,
Ilana Karp, Barbara Feinberg,
Tamara Friedman and Mary
Hananel.
Shirley Becker, usual fine nar-
rator, referring to Northwestern
Highway as "the new Avenue of
Fashion" . . . Al Winkler taking
pictures of 2-year-old daughter
Rachel in her first fashion show
. . . wife Shelley and Al taking
turns holding Rachel . . . such a
very pretty young lady . Nina
Silberschein deep in thought
while watching magnificent
styles . . . Mickey Beresh sur-
rounded by her's and Morry's
three daughters, Barbara Fein-
berg smartly simple with ele-
gance . . . The models made pret-
tier with Tamara and her cosme-
tic work . . . plus a stylist from
Mariomax doing their hair.
You could tell the hard work
put into presentation of a fine pro-
fessional fashion show . . . as the
models came singly and in pairs
. . . walking briskly but stopping
and slowing at intervals for all to
see front, sides and back . . . Male
dancer started the show with such
energy that one gal in audience
asked another, "I wonder what
vitamins he takes" . . . Rochelle
Zuckerman is president of
Tam-O-Shanter women.
Fashion Show by Leah Marks
at Music Hall, Oct. 12, may be the
extravanganza of all fashion pre-
sentations . . . It'll be a Broadway
performance . . . using the very
lavish set of Cleo Laine, who'll be
appearing at Music Hall until
Oct. 15 .. Leah will have a crew of
60 people . . . including 20 models
and 15 dancers.
