DANNY RASKIN
TZVIAH IDEN, daughter of
Jack and Shirlee Iden, and focus
of a recent "Shalom" party when
she made aliyah to Israel, is al-
ready gaining much attention
there.
A lifelong horse lover, expert in
pedigrees, and breeder of Egyp-
tian Arabians, Tzviah, who has a
master's degree in social work
from University of Michigan, is
presently employed at Kadoorie,
an agricultural school in the
lower Galilee . . . Kadoorie, estab-
lished in the 1920s, boasts many
noted former Israeli students .. .
generals, prime ministers, etc.
Tzviah's friend, Gen. Haim
Bar-Lev, former leader of the Is-
raeli Defense Forces and a horse
lover too (he is head of Israeli
Arabian Horse Association), came
to the school recently to person-
ally welcome his young friend.
Until late July, Tzviah raised
her horses at Masoret Arabians in
Grand Blanc, Mich. . . . Since her
two great loves to date have been
horses and Israel, she really has it
together now.
Jack and Shirlee have another
daughter, Elaine, son-in-law Alex
(Cheshin) and grandchildren
Arik and Maya, who live in Israel
. . . Attorney son Bruce makes it
closest for Mom and Dad to visit

pocketing the balls in rapid fash-
ion on the billiard table . . . as wife
Dorothy watched.

Irving love_s Las Vegas and At-
lantic City . . . and so the cake set
before him was indicative of his
fond feelings . . . On it were mini-
ature crap table, slot machine,
poker hands and a pair of dice.
The beam on Irving's face as he
watched grandson Kevin break
dancing was best birthday pre-
sent he could have received.

you had begun a serious Al Jolson
routine . . . But everything turned
out all right . . . you had just for-
gotten to remove the fake nose
after doing a Jimmy Durante
number!
LOOKING BACK .. .
JUNE 14, 1968 ... "Irving
Gross had trouble starting his
new car on a very damp morning
recently . . . the buggy just
wouldn't turn over, and he would
have been late for an important
appointment had Moe Simons not
come along to give him a push .. .
with the car he bought from Iry
two weeks ago."
