committee is in formation and

to contact the overall coor-

0350. Each AZA and BBG chapter
is entitled to five delegates for the
conclave. Applications may be ob-
tained from the chapter
presidents.
BBYO announces the appoint-
ment of the following new advis-
ers to AZA and BBG chapters:
Steve Polk, Ruach AZA: Elissa
Marcus, Shira BBG; and Pam
Gold, Yachad BBG, Windsor.
Several openings still exist for
volunteer advisers to AZA chap-
ters in West Bloomfield and to
BBG chapters in Southfield and
Oak Park. Anyone interested is
urged to contact the BBYO office,
552-8260.
The first meeting of the BBYO
board of directors for the fall will
be held on Monday at 8 p.m. at the
BBYO office. Committee chair-
manships for the new program
year will be announced.

The recent meeting of the
Council of Jewish Federations
„ drew strong Detroit participation.
Martin E. Citrin, president of the
CJF, presided over the meeting,
which was held last week in New
York City.
Mandell L. Berman, chairman
of the CJF Long Range Strategic
Planning Committee, was nomi-
nated to be a vice president of the
council. As head of the Large City
Budgeting Conference, Robert
Naftaly, co-chairman of the 1985
Allied Jewish Campaign, was in
charge of the agenda for the
LCBC. Mark Schlussel, a member
of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion's Executive Committee, was
elected president of the Jewish
Education Service of North
America.
Other Detroit participants were

president; Avern Cohn, chairman
of the JWF Executive Committee;
James M. August, Dulcie Rosen-
